In all we had the peaceful short break we wanted and needed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we felt at ease straight away. There were clean towels on the beds plus a small teal towel wrapped around a small tube of washing up liquid.Another nice touch.Free WiFi enabled us to watch out favourite show on Netflix in the evening. The Caravan was clean and modern on arrival and we found tea, coffee, milk and biscuits left for us which was a very pleasant surprise and a nice Touch. We've just returned from a short stay at the Sun Haven Holiday Park Cornwall. ![]() Only a small criticism and it won't stop us going back to a very well run and well maintained site.… But I like the car by us for security, as this site does not have any access barriers anymore and anyone can drive in without being checked. My only thing which I was not keen on is not being able to park the car by the caravan, it had to be parked in the car park which to be honest was only a short walk. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful. The walk to the beach is about a mile through a lovely wooded area, which is great as no worries about parking charges or even trying to find a parking space. We had some takeaway food from the Cornish Maid takeaway and it was delicious, but not cheap. The site is very dog friendly which we liked and there were many well behaved dogs on site and as far as we could tell all with responsible owners. There is facilities to wash wetsuits and the dog after being on the beach which was very useful. I would not like to be staying in one with another 7 people. The caravan is advertised as 8 berth, but personally I think 4 is ample. We booked a 3 bed caravan, which was fitted with all mod cons, it had good wifi, a smart TV, a good powerful shower and modern kitchen it also had a small decking area to the front. ![]() The camp site looked the same size as the last time we stayed. Lots of new caravans and one part large privately owned lodges. The site is now owned by Lovat and has been upgraded quite a bit. We stayed at the site many times when the previous owners ran it we haven't stayed for 8 years. My only suggestion for the Lovat team would be to upgrade the mattresses we found the springs a little uncomfortable.… We also look forward to exploring the Lovat brand of holiday parks in the New Forest and St Ives. Thank you ! We will definitely be returning to Sun Haven. We had a fabulous holiday made all the more special with a personal greeting card on arrival along with a small bottle of Prosecco such a lovely thought. We spent most of our time on the beach or relaxing on our veranda. It had everything we needed as a family of 3. We stayed in a brand new Superior 2 bed caravan. We stayed with our 4 year son and he loved the safe walk through the trees to Mawgan Porth beach. The shop has everything you might need during your stay, including a milk and water vending machine. The site at Mawgan Porth is immaculate the site staff are polite, friendly and approachable. We booked with Sun Haven last minute and it has turned out to be a complete game changer. Traditionally we have always stayed in ‘Holiday Cottages'. ![]() Hotels near Mawgan Porth to St Mawgan Circular Walk.Hotels near Mawgan Porth Pools and Lake.
